Questionable Companion

Coordinate quests across your characters.

Matsuuzo
Character Rotation Questing AutoRetainer

Overview

Questionable Companion bridges AutoRetainer and Questionable. It switches between selected characters and runs configured quest rotations when their conditions are met, with quest and level stop points controlling progression.

Dependencies and setup

Requires Questionable and AutoRetainer. Configure the navigation, travel, combat and duty plugins described in the upstream README for the workflows you use, including vnavmesh, Lifestream and AutoDuty. Use only one Boss Mod variant.

Key Features

Character rotation

Select characters imported from AutoRetainer and coordinate quest progression between them.

Quest rotations

Run configured rotations, allied society dailies and eligible event quests with prerequisite checks.

Helper roles

Assign Quester and High-Level Helper roles. Chauffeur Mode uses a multi-seater flying mount to transport characters.

Travel and recovery

Coordinate Data Center travel, monitor movement and handle supported recovery and dungeon workflows.

Install and get started

Add the Aethertek repository in Dalamud Settings → Experimental → Custom Plugin Repositories, then search for Questionable Companion in the Plugin Installer.

https://aethertek.io/x.json

  1. Open /qstcomp, choose the Characters tab and select characters imported from AutoRetainer.
  2. Configure at least one quest or level stop condition in Questionable, then open Menu → Stop Points and import the conditions.
  3. Choose your rotation and client roles, review travel and helper settings, then start the rotation.

Coordinate with existing automation

The plugin can pause quest rotation when submarines need attention and return to AutoRetainer Multi-Mode when a rotation finishes. Configure those behaviors for your setup. Questionable handles the quest execution itself.

See the upstream README for full setup instructions and current limitations.
